- Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations and provide accurate diagnosis and treatment recommendations for patients.
- Administer and interpret a variety of audiological tests and procedures, including pure tone audiometry, speech audiometry, and otoacoustic emissions testing.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families on hearing loss, communication strategies, and the use of hearing aids and other assistive devices.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, progress, and treatment plans.
- Adhere to professional and ethical standards in all aspects of practice.
- Stay updated on the latest developments and advancements in audiology and incorporate them into practice.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Provide training and supervision to audiology students and other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor while interacting with patients and their families.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the audiology program and services offered at Kaiser Permanente.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development activities.
- Collaborate with insurance and billing departments to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement for services provided.
Master's Degree In Audiology: A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Audiology From An Accredited University Is Required For A Clinical Audiologist Position At Kaiser Permanente.
State Licensure: Candidates Must Hold A Valid State License To Practice Audiology. This Includes Passing The National Examination And Meeting Any Additional State-Specific Requirements.
Certificate Of Clinical Competence (Ccc): Candidates Must Have A Valid Ccc From The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Asha) Or Be In The Process Of Obtaining It.
Experience With Diagnostic And Treatment Equipment: Candidates Should Have Experience Using A Variety Of Diagnostic And Treatment Equipment Such As Audiometers, Tympanometers, And Hearing Aids.
