As a Central Service Technician, you will be responsible for the decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of medical instruments and equipment. You must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a minimum of two years of experience in a relevant field, and a valid certification in Central Service Technology. Responsibilities:

  1. Decontaminate, clean, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment according to established protocols and regulations.
  2. Monitor and document all sterilization processes.
  3. Maintain and troubleshoot sterilization equipment.
  4. Ensure adequate inventory of supplies and equipment.
  5. Adhere to established safety and infection control protocols.
  6. Monitor and document instrument repair and maintenance.
  7. Maintain accurate records and logs.
  8. Work effectively with other departments and healthcare professionals.
  9. Provide training and guidance to staff on proper instrument handling, sterilization, and maintenance.
  10. Participate in interdepartmental quality improvement initiatives.
