Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations utilizing advanced diagnostic equipment and techniques.
  2. Interpret and analyze test results to assess patient's hearing and balance function.
  3. Develop individualized treatment plans and provide appropriate interventions for patients with hearing and balance disorders.
  4. Educate patients and their families on treatment options and provide counseling on hearing conservation and communication strategies.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
  6. Stay current on industry developments, trends, and research to continually improve patient care.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with organizational and legal guidelines.
  8. Adhere to ethical and professional standards as outlined by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and state licensing board.
  9. Participate in team meetings and actively contribute to the development and implementation of new audiology programs and services.
  10. Provide guidance and support to audiology assistants and other support staff.
  11. Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients, following infection control and safety protocols.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve upon clinical practices and procedures to enhance patient outcomes.
  13. Act as a patient advocate by actively listening to patient concerns and addressing them in a timely and empathetic manner.
  14. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling patient information.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to Kaiser Permanente's values of compassion, excellence, inclusivity, integrity, and stewardship in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and the community.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Audiology: A Minimum Requirement For An Audiologist Position At Kaiser Permanente Is A Master's Degree In Audiology From An Accredited University Program.
