Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations utilizing advanced diagnostic equipment and techniques.
- Interpret and analyze test results to assess patient's hearing and balance function.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and provide appropriate interventions for patients with hearing and balance disorders.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment options and provide counseling on hearing conservation and communication strategies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Stay current on industry developments, trends, and research to continually improve patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with organizational and legal guidelines.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards as outlined by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and state licensing board.
- Participate in team meetings and actively contribute to the development and implementation of new audiology programs and services.
- Provide guidance and support to audiology assistants and other support staff.
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients, following infection control and safety protocols.
- Continuously evaluate and improve upon clinical practices and procedures to enhance patient outcomes.
- Act as a patient advocate by actively listening to patient concerns and addressing them in a timely and empathetic manner.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling patient information.
