As an Associate Systems Administrator for our Radiology department, you will play an integral role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).   1. Maintain and troubleshoot the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) to ensure uninterrupted and efficient operation.
  2. Monitor system performance and identify and resolve any issues or errors.
  3. Collaborate with the Radiology team to understand their needs and provide technical support and solutions.
  4. Perform regular system updates and upgrades to ensure optimal functionality.
  5. Maintain and update system documentation, including user manuals and troubleshooting guides.
  6. Train new users on the PACS system and provide ongoing support and training as needed.
  7. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to healthcare data privacy and security.
  8. Work with vendors and IT department to resolve any hardware or software issues related to the PACS system.
  9. Participate in testing and implementation of new system features and upgrades.
  10. Continuously monitor and improve system performance and make recommendations for process improvements.
  11. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in PACS administration and healthcare technology.
  12. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive patient information.
  13. Work with other departments to integrate PACS with other healthcare systems and applications.
  14. Provide on-call support for urgent technical issues outside of regular business hours.
  15. Comply with all Kaiser Permanente policies and procedures and promote a positive work culture within the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Radiology And Pacs: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Have A Strong Background In Radiology And Experience Working With Picture Archiving And Communication Systems (Pacs). This Includes Knowledge Of Medical Imaging Technologies, Such As X-Rays, Mris, And Ct Scans, As Well As Experience With Pacs Software.

  • Knowledge Of Healthcare It Systems: As An Associate Systems Administrator, The Candidate Should Possess A Good Understanding Of Healthcare It Systems And Their Role In Supporting Patient Care. This Includes Familiarity With Electronic Health Records (Ehr), Hospital Information Systems (His), And Other Related Systems.

  • Technical Skills: The Candidate Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Computer Hardware, Software, And Networking, As Well As Experience With Troubleshooting Technical Issues. Proficiency In Operating Systems Such As Windows And Linux, As Well As Experience With Virtualization Technologies, Is Also Desired.

  • Attention To Detail: Working In A Healthcare Environment Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail, As Patient Safety And Privacy Are Of Utmost Importance. The Candidate Should Be Able To Accurately And Efficiently Manage A Large Amount Of Data And Ensure Its Security And Integrity.

  • Communication And Collaboration: In This Role, The Candidate Will Need To Work Closely With Other Members Of The Radiology And It Teams, As Well As Healthcare Professionals.
