As an Assistant Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Nurse Manager in overseeing the daily operations of our nursing unit.   1. Assist the Nurse Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the nursing unit, including patient care, staff management, and administrative tasks.
  2. Collaborate with the Nurse Manager to develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient unit functioning.
  3. Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure high levels of performance and job satisfaction.
  4. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment for staff and patients, following all established safety protocols and infection control measures.
  5. Serve as a role model and mentor to nursing staff, promoting a culture of compassion, teamwork, and continuous learning.
  6. Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and training of new nursing staff, ensuring that all employees are properly oriented and trained for their roles.
  7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication and coordination across departments.
  8. Monitor and manage unit budget, ensuring that resources are used efficiently and effectively to meet patient needs.
  9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based nursing practices.
  10. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports, following all legal and ethical standards of confidentiality.
  11. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to promote a positive patient experience and address any concerns or issues.
  12. Stay current with industry trends and developments, incorporating new knowledge and best practices into unit operations and patient care.
  13. Uphold the mission and values of Kaiser Permanente, demonstrating a commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field

  • Current And Valid Rn License In The State Of Employment

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Nursing Experience, With At Least 1 Year In A Leadership Or Management Role

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Interdisciplinary Teams

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Healthcare Regulations And Compliance Standards, Particularly In Relation To Patient Care And Safety.
