Peds Emergency Medicine - RN

Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center is searching for a passionate, experienced Registered Nurse to join our Peds Emergency Medicine team. This position is an opportunity to provide critical care to pediatric patients in a high-acuity setting and to serve as a leader in the Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in Emergency Medicine, Peds ICU, or Peds Critical Care Nursing, and must be licensed in the State of Maryland and/or eligible for licensure in the State of Maryland. We are looking for an individual who is knowledgeable of the principles, methods, and procedures used in the assessment, treatment, and care of pediatric patients, and who is able to recognize and respond to changes in the patient’s condition. In addition, the candidate must demonstrate effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work effectively with a team.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide critical care to pediatric patients in a high-acuity setting.
2. Serve as a leader in the Emergency Department.
3. Maintain a minimum of two years of experience in Emergency Medicine, Peds ICU, or Peds Critical Care Nursing.
4. Be licensed in the State of Maryland and/or eligible for licensure in the State of Maryland.
5. Apply the principles, methods, and procedures used in the assessment, treatment, and care of pediatric patients.
6. Recognize and respond to changes in the patient’s condition.
7. Demonstrate effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Work effectively with a team.
