Patient Care Manager - Labor & Delivery

We’re looking for an experienced, proactive Patient Care Manager - Labor & Delivery to join the team at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. We’re looking for an individual who is passionate about patient care and has the necessary qualifications to help us provide the best possible experience for our patients.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience in labor & delivery, preferably in a management role. We also require a valid nursing license and either a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field. Additionally, the successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and lead labor & delivery staff, including scheduling, training, and mentoring.
2. Ensure that all patient care services are delivered in a safe and efficient manner.
3. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
4. Monitor patient progress and provide regular feedback to staff and families.
5. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure quality patient care.
6. Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes.
7. Collaborate with other departments to ensure optimal patient care.
8. Oversee the budget and resources for labor & delivery services.
9. Respond to patient inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
10. Stay current on labor & delivery best practices.
