
NICU Clinical Dietitian Specialist
At Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, we are looking for a passionate and dedicated NICU Clinical Dietitian Specialist to join our team. As a NICU Clinical Dietitian Specialist, you must be a registered dietitian nutritionist in good standing with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. You will be a reliable and knowledgeable professional who will provide comprehensive nutritional care to infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nutritional care to infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
- Collaborate with medical staff and other health care professionals to ensure best practice in nutritional care.
- Educate NICU families on proper nutrition and growth for their infant.
- Monitor and evaluate the nutritional needs of newborns and provide timely feedback on any changes needed.
- Develop individualized meal plans for infants in the NICU, based on their unique nutritional needs.
- Maintain accurate records of nutritional assessment, meal plans, and patient progress.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in nutrition and dietetic care and use evidence-based practices.
- Attend and participate in interdisciplinary meetings and provide feedback on nutritional care.
- Demonstrate a compassionate and caring approach to patient care.
- Maintain professional licensure and adhere to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Code of Ethics.
Baccalaureate Degree In Nutrition Or Dietetics
Registered Dietitian Or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
Minimum Of Two Years Current Nicu Experience
Knowledge Of Current Nutrition And Dietetics Principles And Practices
Knowledge Of Nutritional Needs Of Neonates
Knowledge Of Neonatal Nutrition Support Methodologies
Ability To Evaluate Nutrition Care Plans For Appropriateness
