NICU Clinical Dietitian Specialist

Responsibilities:

1. Provide comprehensive nutritional care to infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
2. Collaborate with medical staff and other health care professionals to ensure best practice in nutritional care.
3. Educate NICU families on proper nutrition and growth for their infant.
4. Monitor and evaluate the nutritional needs of newborns and provide timely feedback on any changes needed.
5. Develop individualized meal plans for infants in the NICU, based on their unique nutritional needs.
6. Maintain accurate records of nutritional assessment, meal plans, and patient progress.
7. Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in nutrition and dietetic care and use evidence-based practices.
8. Attend and participate in interdisciplinary meetings and provide feedback on nutritional care.
9. Demonstrate a compassionate and caring approach to patient care.
10. Maintain professional licensure and adhere to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Code of Ethics.
