Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Managed Care Analyst to join our team at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized problem-solver with a passion for healthcare and data analysis. We are seeking a professional with strong analytical and communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues and other stakeholders.To be successful in this role, the successful candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, medical billing, or a related field and have at least two years of experience in a managed care setting. They must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have a working knowledge of medical coding, medical terminology, and reimbursement systems. The candidate must also possess excellent organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and the capacity to work independently and as part of a team. Additionally, the Managed Care Analyst must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and possess a strong customer service ethic.

Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze data related to managed care to identify trends and develop actionable strategies to improve existing processes.
  2. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with managed care organizations and other stakeholders.
  3. Develop and monitor financial models to ensure accuracy and effectiveness of managed care contracts.
  4. Evaluate all managed care contracts and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws.
  5. Monitor and analyze changes in reimbursement rates and fee schedules.
  6. Manage the provision of customer service to managed care members.
  7. Assist in the development of new managed care products and services.
  8. Prepare reports and presentations related to managed care analysis.
  9. Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs and maximize reimbursements.
  10. Coordinate the resolution of managed care issues with relevant personnel.
