Job Description

Are you a Certified Medical Assistant looking to make an impact in cardiology? Join the team at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and help us make a difference in the lives of our patients. As part of our team, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care to cardiology patients in an outpatient setting. We are looking for a dedicated, organized, and collaborative professional to join our team.The successful candidate must have a valid certification as a Medical Assistant and at least one year of experience in a clinical setting. They must also have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with a variety of people. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide direct patient care to cardiology patients in an outpatient setting.
  2. Maintain patient records and ensure documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  3. Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to track patient progress and ensure compliance with regulations.
  4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  5. Communicate with patients and their families to ensure understanding of diagnosis and treatments.
  6. Assist physicians in examinations and other medical procedures.
  7. Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  8. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
  9. Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
