Job Description

At John Deere Company, we are currently looking for an experienced and talented Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background and a passion for problem solving. A successful candidate will be committed to ensuring top-notch maintenance of our production and manufacturing equipment while optimizing its performance and reliability.The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing schedules for preventative and corrective maintenance activities. They will also be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all equipment and machinery. Additional duties include overseeing the installation of new equipment and providing training and guidance to the maintenance team.The ideal candidate for this role should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. They should also be detail-oriented, have excellent problem-solving skills, and be able to work independently and in a team environment. If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and manage schedules for preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
  2. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all equipment and machinery.
  3. Oversee the installation of new equipment.
  4. Provide training and guidance to the maintenance team.
  5. Monitor production and manufacturing equipment for optimal performance and reliability.
  6. Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  7. Research and recommend solutions to improve equipment performance.
  8. Track and report maintenance activities and costs.
  9. Identify and report any potential problems or malfunctions.
  10. Ensure proper maintenance and stocking of necessary parts and supplies.
