Engine Application Engineer

As a Senior Engine Application Engineer at John Deere Power Systems (JDPS) in Waterloo, Iowa, you will support engine integration projects for the Construction and Forestry Division for multiple vehicle applications. Define engine and aftertreatment performance requirements with partner engineering teams. Define engine Bill of Materials including current and new physical part features/options, engine control and vehicle interface software with partner engineering. Negotiate and establish experimental, prototype, and production engine build schedules. Communicate partner requirements to the JDPS organization. Ensure that partner application approval testing is completed satisfactorily, and risks are fully assessed in alignment with Application Product Delivery Process (APDP) best practices. Be responsible for adhering to the established APDP process as well as participation in activities designed to identify process gaps, establish and execute process improvement plans.
