Technical / Maintenance Manager

At JM Smucker, we are looking for a Technical/Maintenance Manager who is passionate about developing and maintaining a safe, efficient, and productive work environment. This individual should be a strong leader and have the ability to balance long-term planning and short-term problem solving. The ideal candidate would have a minimum of five years of experience in a technical/maintenance management role, with knowledge of maintenance best practices, Quality Control, and safety regulations. An understanding of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and construction/building maintenance is also preferred. This position requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a positive, team-oriented attitude. Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance and safety program for the facility.
2. Monitor and oversee facility operations and maintenance activities.
3. Schedule and manage preventative maintenance and repairs.
4. Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, Quality Control, and environmental laws.
5. Supervise and train facility maintenance personnel.
6. Monitor the effectiveness of maintenance and operations systems.
7. Establish and enforce facility policies and procedures.
8. Work with contractors to ensure proper installation and maintenance of equipment.
9. Perform troubleshooting and repair of electrical, HVAC, and other systems.
10. Maintain records of all maintenance activities.
11. Develop and update budget for maintenance and operations.
12. Monitor and evaluate staff performance.
