- Develop and implement innovative and efficient processes to optimize production and reduce costs.
- Conduct research and analyze data to identify areas for process improvement and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement best practices and new technologies.
- Monitor and evaluate existing processes to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for adjustments.
- Lead process improvement projects, including planning, execution, and tracking of key metrics.
- Ensure compliance with company and industry regulations, standards, and safety protocols.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on new processes and technologies.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure process consistency and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in product development and launch processes, providing insights and recommendations for process improvements.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in process engineering to continuously drive innovation and improvement.
Extensive Experience In Process Engineering: Candidates For This Role Should Have At Least 5-7 Years Of Experience In Process Engineering, Preferably Within The Food Or Consumer Goods Industry. They Should Be Well-Versed In All Aspects Of Process Design, Optimization, And Troubleshooting.
Strong Knowledge Of Food Science And Technology: As A Senior Scientist At Jm Smucker, The Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Food Science And Technology. This Includes Knowledge Of Ingredients, Formulations, Food Safety Regulations, And Industry Trends.
Leadership Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Leading Cross-Functional Teams, As Well As Mentoring And Coaching Junior Engineers. They Should Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, And Be Able To Work Collaboratively With Other Departments Such As R&D, Quality, And Supply Chain.
