- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with PLC systems in a timely and efficient manner.
- Program and maintain PLC systems to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions to improve overall system performance.
- Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on PLC systems to prevent downtime and ensure optimal functionality.
- Monitor PLC system performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency standards are met.
- Stay updated on industry advancements and technology to continuously improve processes and systems.
- Document and maintain accurate records of PLC system maintenance, repairs, and changes.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working with PLC systems.
- Train and mentor team members on PLC system operations and troubleshooting techniques.
- Suggest and implement process improvements to optimize production and reduce costs.
Experience With Programmable Logic Controllers (Plcs): The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Hands-On Experience Working With Plcs In An Industrial Setting. This Includes Knowledge Of Programming, Troubleshooting, And Maintenance Of Plc Systems.
Knowledge Of Electrical Systems: A Strong Understanding Of Electrical Systems, Including Wiring Diagrams, Electrical Safety, And Electrical Components, Is Essential For This Role. The Candidate Should Also Have Experience With Electrical Troubleshooting And Repairs.
Mechanical Aptitude: The Ability To Read And Interpret Mechanical Drawings And Understand Mechanical Systems Is Crucial For A Plc Technician. The Candidate Should Be Able To Identify And Troubleshoot Mechanical Issues Related To Plc Systems.
Automation Experience: In Addition To Plcs, The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience With Other Automation Technologies Such As Human-Machine Interfaces (Hmis), Variable Frequency Drives (Vfds), And Sensors. Familiarity With Different Automation Software And Hardware Platforms Is Also A Plus.
Team Player: As Part Of A Maintenance Team, The Plc Technician Should Have Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills. The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Other Technicians, Engineers, And Production Staff Is Crucial For The Success Of The Role. The Candidate Should Also Be Able To Work Independently And Handle Multiple Tasks Simultaneously.
