- Process and manage payroll for all employees on a bi-weekly basis.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of payroll data, including hours worked, bonuses, commissions, and benefits.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to maintain accurate employee records and resolve any discrepancies.
- Review and reconcile payroll reports to ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.
- Stay up-to-date with payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance and make necessary adjustments as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any payroll-related issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Ensure timely and accurate distribution of paychecks or direct deposits to employees.
- Maintain confidentiality of all employee payroll information.
- Prepare and maintain payroll reports for management and financial reporting purposes.
- Assist in developing and implementing payroll policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Communicate with employees regarding any payroll-related inquiries or concerns.
- Train and supervise junior payroll analysts to ensure consistent and accurate payroll processing.
- Collaborate with IT department to update and maintain payroll software and systems.
- Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors.
- Continuously review and improve payroll processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Extensive Knowledge Of Payroll Processes And Systems: A Senior Payroll Analyst At Jd Sports Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Various Payroll Processes And Systems, Including Adp, Kronos, And Workday. They Should Also Be Familiar With Relevant Laws And Regulations Related To Payroll.
Experience In A Leadership Role: This Position Requires At Least 5 Years Of Experience In A Payroll Analyst Role, With At Least 2 Years In A Leadership Or Supervisory Position. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Managing A Team And Leading Payroll Processes For A Large Organization.
Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: A Senior Payroll Analyst Must Have Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills. They Should Be Able To Identify And Resolve Complex Payroll Issues And Discrepancies, And Be Able To Provide Strategic Solutions To Improve Processes And Increase Efficiency.
Attention To Detail And Accuracy: Accuracy Is Crucial In Payroll, And A Senior Payroll Analyst Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Ensure That All Payroll Calculations And Processing Are Accurate. They Should Also Have A Strong Understanding Of Data Integrity And Be Able To Maintain Confidentiality.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Senior Member Of The Payroll Team, This Role Will Require Effective Communication And Collaboration With Internal Stakeholders, Such As Hr And Finance Departments, As Well As External Stakeholders, Such As Vendors And Auditors.
