  1. Monitor and patrol the store to prevent theft, vandalism, and other security issues.
  2. Utilize CCTV cameras and other surveillance equipment to identify and prevent theft.
  3. Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  4. Conduct bag checks and inspections to ensure merchandise is not being stolen.
  5. Collaborate with store management to implement loss prevention strategies and procedures.
  6. Communicate any suspicious activity or security concerns to store management.
  7. Provide a visible presence on the sales floor to deter potential theft or security breaches.
  8. Assist in training new staff members on loss prevention policies and procedures.
  9. Conduct internal investigations and gather evidence in cases of suspected theft or fraud.
  10. Work closely with law enforcement and legal teams when necessary.
  11. Maintain accurate and detailed reports of any security incidents or investigations.
  12. Follow company policies and procedures regarding loss prevention and safety.
  13. Stay up-to-date on the latest security and loss prevention techniques and technology.
  14. Act as a role model for ethical behavior and uphold company values.
  15. Maintain a safe and secure work environment for all staff and customers.

  • Knowledge Of Retail Security Procedures And Protocols: A Loss Prevention Officer At Jd Sports Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Retail Security Procedures And Protocols To Effectively Prevent And Address Theft, Fraud, And Other Security Threats.

  • Strong Observation And Surveillance Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Excellent Observation And Surveillance Abilities To Identify Suspicious Behavior And Potential Security Risks.

  • Physical Fitness And Stamina: This Role May Require Long Periods Of Standing, Walking, And Physical Activity, So Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Have The Stamina To Handle The Demands Of The Job.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Loss Prevention Officers At Jd Sports Must Be Able To Communicate Clearly And Effectively With Customers, Colleagues, And Law Enforcement Personnel. They Should Also Have Strong Conflict Resolution Skills To Handle Difficult Situations.

  • Experience In Loss Prevention Or Security: Previous Experience In Loss Prevention Or Security, Preferably In A Retail Setting, Is Highly Desirable For This Role. Candidates With A Background In Law Enforcement Or Military May Also Be Considered.
