  1. Monitor and patrol store premises to prevent theft, vandalism, and other potential losses.
  2. Observe and report any suspicious behavior or activity to store management and/or law enforcement.
  3. Conduct thorough investigations into incidents of theft or other losses and assist with identifying and apprehending perpetrators.
  4. Collaborate with store management to develop and implement effective loss prevention strategies and procedures.
  5. Maintain a strong understanding of company policies and procedures and ensure compliance with all security protocols.
  6. Train and educate store employees on loss prevention best practices and procedures.
  7. Identify potential security vulnerabilities and make recommendations for improvements.
  8. Monitor surveillance equipment and report any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel.
  9. Work closely with law enforcement and other outside agencies as needed.
  10. Document all incidents and maintain accurate records for reporting and analysis.
  11. Conduct internal audits and investigations to identify and address potential risks and losses.
  12. Remain updated on current trends and techniques in loss prevention and make suggestions for improvement.
  13. Respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations and provide support to customers and employees in times of crisis.
  14. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times and uphold company values and standards.
  15. Continuously monitor and improve safety and security measures within the store.

Job Qualifications
  • Prior Experience In Loss Prevention Or Security: Candidates Should Have Previous Experience Working In A Similar Role, Preferably In A Retail Or Sports Environment.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Loss Prevention Officer, It Is Important To Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Team Members, Customers, And Potentially Confrontational Individuals.

  • Knowledge Of Loss Prevention Procedures And Techniques: Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Loss Prevention Strategies, Such As Cctv Surveillance, Inventory Control, And Theft Prevention.

  • Attention To Detail And Ability To Handle High-Pressure Situations: The Role Of A Loss Prevention Officer Requires Excellent Observation Skills And The Ability To Remain Calm And Focused In High-Stress Situations.

  • Physical Fitness And Ability To Handle Physical Confrontations: The Job May Require Physical Demands, Such As Apprehending Shoplifters Or Conducting Physical Searches, So Candidates Should Be In Good Physical Condition And Able To Handle Potential Confrontations.
