
Sample Coordinator - Marketing Operations Sample Room

- Manage and maintain the Sample Room, ensuring all product samples are organized and easily accessible for use by the creative and marketing teams.
- Oversee the inventory of product samples, tracking their usage and replenishment to ensure an adequate supply for ongoing and upcoming campaigns.
- Collaborate with various departments, including design, merchandising, and marketing, to understand their sample needs and provide support in sourcing and coordinating sample delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of all samples, including tracking their location and usage, as well as handling any necessary paperwork or documentation.
- Work closely with the Marketing Operations team to plan and prioritize sample needs for upcoming campaigns and projects.
- Ensure all samples are returned and properly accounted for after use, and follow up on any missing or damaged items.
- Continuously assess and improve the organization and efficiency of the Sample Room, implementing new processes or systems as needed.
- Stay up-to-date on current fashion trends and JCPenney’s product offerings to assist in selecting and organizing relevant samples.
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers to request and track sample deliveries, as well as maintain relationships for future sample requests.
- Maintain a clean and organized Sample Room, keeping track of inventory levels and ordering necessary supplies.
- Train and supervise any sample room assistants or interns to ensure proper handling and organization of samples.
- Participate in team meetings and provide updates on sample status and any issues or concerns that may arise.
- Collaborate with the creative and marketing teams to ensure that samples are utilized effectively in photo shoots, campaigns, and other marketing initiatives.
- Stay informed of industry trends and best practices in sample management to continually improve processes and procedures.
Knowledge Of Product Samples: A Sample Coordinator Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Different Types Of Product Samples Used In Marketing Campaigns, Including Clothing, Accessories, And Home Goods. This Knowledge Will Allow Them To Effectively Manage The Inventory In The Sample Room.
Organizational Skills: The Sample Coordinator Must Be Highly Organized In Order To Keep Track Of The Large Number Of Samples That Come In And Out Of The Sample Room. They Should Be Able To Develop And Maintain A System For Organizing Samples, Making It Easy To Locate And Retrieve Specific Items When Needed.
Attention To Detail: It Is Crucial For A Sample Coordinator To Have A Keen Eye For Detail In Order To Ensure That All Samples Are In Good Condition And Accurately Labeled. They Must Also Be Able To Spot Any Discrepancies Or Issues With Samples, And Communicate Them To The Appropriate Teams.
