- Oversee and manage daily operations of the store, including but not limited to inventory management, stock replenishment, and visual merchandising.
- Ensure that all store policies and procedures are followed, and work closely with the store manager to implement any necessary changes.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to prevent stock shortages and overstocking, and coordinate with the buying and planning teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of merchandise.
- Develop and implement efficient processes and procedures to improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Train and supervise a team of operations associates, providing guidance and support to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with safety and security protocols, as well as company standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure seamless and exceptional customer experience.
- Identify and resolve any operational issues or challenges that may arise in a timely and effective manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked store environment, ensuring that all equipment and fixtures are in good working condition.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in retail operations, and make recommendations for process improvements or system upgrades as needed.
Experience In Retail Operations Management: A Successful Operations Supervisor At Jcpenney Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In A Retail Environment. They Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Effectively Managing Day-To-Day Operations, Inventory Management, And Customer Service.
Strong Leadership Skills: As An Operations Supervisor, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Overseeing A Team Of Employees And Ensuring That They Are Meeting Performance Goals And Adhering To Company Policies And Procedures. Therefore, Strong Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Motivate And Coach Team Members, Are Essential For Success In This Role.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Operations Supervisor Will Need To Communicate Effectively With Various Departments, Including Sales, Inventory, And Customer Service, To Ensure Smooth Operations.
