We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Inventory Accuracy Assistant at JCPenney.   1. Conduct regular inventory counts to ensure accuracy of stock levels.
  2. Compare physical inventory counts to computer records and investigate any discrepancies.
  3. Communicate with vendors and suppliers to resolve any inventory discrepancies.
  4. Monitor inventory levels and forecast future needs to ensure product availability for customers.
  5. Work closely with the purchasing and receiving departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of inventory.
  6. Maintain accurate inventory records in the company's database.
  7. Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve any issues with inventory management.
  9. Prepare and present reports on inventory accuracy and trends to management.
  10. Identify and implement process improvements to streamline inventory management procedures.
  11. Train and mentor new team members on inventory procedures and best practices.
  12. Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to inventory management.
  13. Ensure compliance with safety regulations in the handling and storage of inventory.
  14. Participate in physical inventory audits and assist with reconciling any discrepancies.
  15. Continuously monitor and report on inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.

  • Ability To Work Independently: While Working As Part Of A Team, This Role Also Requires The Ability To Work Independently And Take Initiative. Candidates Should Be Self-Motivated And Able To Prioritize Tasks To Meet Deadlines.

  • Previous Inventory Or Retail Experience: It Is Preferred That Candidates Have Previous Experience Working With Inventory, Preferably In A Retail Setting. This Will Give Them A Better Understanding Of Inventory Processes And Procedures, Making Them Better Equipped For The Job.
