  1. Maintain inventory accuracy: The primary responsibility of the Inventory Accuracy Assistant will be to ensure the accuracy of the store's inventory at all times. This includes conducting regular audits, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective measures.
  2. Support inventory management processes: The assistant will assist in handling incoming and outgoing shipments, organizing stockroom and sales floor inventory, and ensuring proper labeling and tagging of merchandise.
  3. Communicate effectively: The assistant will need to communicate with various team members, including store managers, sales associates, and vendors, to report inventory discrepancies and coordinate inventory-related tasks.
  4. Proactive problem-solving: The successful candidate will need to be proactive in identifying and resolving inventory issues before they impact the store's operations. This includes investigating the root cause of discrepancies and implementing preventative measures.
  5. Uphold company standards: The assistant will be responsible for maintaining JCPenney's standards for inventory accuracy and following all company policies and procedures related to inventory management.
  6. Work in a fast-paced environment: This role requires the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment. The assistant must be able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
