1. Oversee the daily operations of the beauty department, ensuring all tasks and responsibilities are completed efficiently and effectively.
2. Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and increase profitability.
3. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with product selections and resolving any issues or concerns.
4. Hire, train, and develop a team of beauty associates, ensuring they are knowledgeable about products and able to provide excellent customer service.
5. Create and maintain a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration among team members.
6. Set and communicate department goals and expectations to team members, holding them accountable for their performance.
7. Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock of products at all times.
8. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new products, and competitor activities to make informed business decisions.
9. Collaborate with other department managers and store leadership to achieve overall store goals.
10. Handle any customer or employee complaints and resolve them in a timely and professional manner.
11. Maintain visual standards and merchandising guidelines to effectively showcase products.
12. Manage schedules and payroll for the beauty department in accordance with company policies.
13. Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
14. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to team members.
15. Act as a brand ambassador for JCPenney, representing the company's values and mission to customers and employees.
