- Monitor and patrol assigned areas of the store to identify and prevent potential theft, fraud, and other security threats.
- Conduct thorough investigations of any suspected theft or fraudulent activities, utilizing available resources such as CCTV footage and witness statements.
- Collaborate with store leadership to develop and implement effective loss prevention strategies to minimize shrinkage and protect company assets.
- Train and educate store team members on theft awareness and prevention techniques.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers, answering questions, and addressing any concerns related to security.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of theft incidents, investigations, and other security-related activities.
- Monitor and enforce safety and security protocols, including but not limited to emergency procedures, access control, and cash handling procedures.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to asset protection and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Respond promptly and professionally to any security-related incidents or emergencies, following established protocols and procedures.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive information related to theft investigations.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies and other external partners as needed.
- Participate in regular training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to asset protection.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety, security, and ethical conduct.
- Perform other duties as assigned by store leadership or the Asset Protection Manager.
Knowledge Of Loss Prevention Strategies: A Successful Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Loss Prevention Techniques And Be Able To Effectively Implement Them To Protect Company Assets.
Strong Communication Skills: As An Asset Protection Service Associate, The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Customers, Team Members, And Management Is Essential. This Includes Being Able To De-Escalate Potentially Volatile Situations And Provide Clear And Concise Reports.
Observational Skills: The Job Of An Asset Protection Service Associate Requires Constant Vigilance And Attention To Detail. A Qualified Candidate Should Have Strong Observational Skills To Identify Potential Threats And Suspicious Behavior.
Physical Fitness: This Job May Require Standing For Long Periods Of Time, As Well As The Ability To Chase And Apprehend Suspects If Necessary. Therefore, Physical Fitness And Agility Are Important Qualifications.
