1. Monitor and patrol assigned areas of the store to identify and prevent potential theft, fraud, and other security threats.
2. Conduct thorough investigations of any suspected theft or fraudulent activities, utilizing available resources such as CCTV footage and witness statements.
3. Collaborate with store leadership to develop and implement effective loss prevention strategies to minimize shrinkage and protect company assets.
4. Train and educate store team members on theft awareness and prevention techniques.
5. Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers, answering questions, and addressing any concerns related to security.
6. Maintain accurate and organized records of theft incidents, investigations, and other security-related activities.
7. Monitor and enforce safety and security protocols, including but not limited to emergency procedures, access control, and cash handling procedures.
8. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to asset protection and make recommendations for process improvements.
9. Respond promptly and professionally to any security-related incidents or emergencies, following established protocols and procedures.
10. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive information related to theft investigations.
11. Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies and other external partners as needed.
12. Participate in regular training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to asset protection.
13. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety, security, and ethical conduct.
14. Perform other duties as assigned by store leadership or the Asset Protection Manager.
