  1. Develop and implement asset protection strategies and protocols to prevent and minimize loss and theft within the store.
  2. Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
  3. Train and supervise a team of security officers to maintain a safe and secure shopping environment for customers and employees.
  4. Collaborate with store management and other departments to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to asset protection.
  5. Monitor surveillance cameras and investigate any suspicious or criminal activity within the store.
  6. Identify and address any security breaches or violations, taking appropriate disciplinary action when necessary.
  7. Coordinate with law enforcement agencies and testify in court as needed.
  8. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to security incidents and investigations.
  9. Conduct internal investigations into employee theft or misconduct, and take appropriate disciplinary action.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in asset protection and make recommendations for improvement.
  11. Act as a liaison between the store and corporate security team, providing updates and reports as needed.
  12. Respond to emergency situations, such as medical emergencies or natural disasters, and implement emergency protocols as necessary.
  13. Communicate regularly with store management and employees about security measures and procedures.
  14. Ensure all security equipment and technology is functioning properly and report any issues to the appropriate department for resolution.
  15. Uphold a high level of customer service and professionalism at all times while representing JCPenney.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Asset Protection Or Loss Prevention, Preferably In A Retail Environment.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Or A Related Field.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Security And Risk Management Techniques, Including Cctv Surveillance, Alarm Systems, And Physical Security Measures.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Train And Lead A Team.

  • Familiarity With Legal And Regulatory Requirements Related To Asset Protection, Such As Theft Prevention, Workplace Safety, And Emergency Response Protocols.
