Job Description

Are you a highly skilled and experienced leader with a passion for protecting assets and ensuring the safety of others? If so, JCPenney is looking for you to join our team as an Asset Protection Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to prevent loss and maintain the security of our merchandise, customers, and employees. We are seeking a candidate with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a strong understanding of retail operations.   1. Develop and implement strategies to prevent loss and maintain the security of merchandise, customers, and employees.
  2. Oversee and manage all aspects of asset protection, including but not limited to: monitoring surveillance systems, conducting investigations, and implementing safety protocols.
  3. Train and educate employees on company policies and procedures related to asset protection.
  4. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential security risks and address any issues promptly.
  5. Collaborate with store management to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to asset protection.
  6. Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, from front-line employees to upper management, to maintain a safe and secure environment.
  7. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, security technologies, and best practices to continuously improve the company's asset protection strategies.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with local law enforcement and other external partners to support asset protection efforts.
  9. Investigate and resolve any incidents of theft, fraud, or safety hazards in a timely and professional manner.
  10. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the status of asset protection measures and any security-related issues.
  11. Collaborate with other departments, such as Loss Prevention and Human Resources, to ensure a holistic approach to asset protection and safety.
  12. Continuously monitor and analyze data related to theft and loss, and make recommendations for improvement based on findings.
  13. Develop and maintain a strong understanding of retail operations to effectively address any asset protection challenges that may arise.
  14. Motivate and lead a team of asset protection associates, providing direction, support, and guidance as needed.
  15. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal laws related to asset protection and safety.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Or Related Field.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Loss Prevention Or Asset Protection Management.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Retail Security Systems, Procedures, And Practices.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills To Effectively Manage A Team And Work With Other Departments.
