- Monitor and maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees.
- Utilize surveillance tools and techniques to identify and prevent theft, fraud, and other security concerns.
- Conduct regular store patrols to identify and address potential security risks.
- Collaborate with store management and other team members to develop and implement security measures and protocols.
- Respond to and investigate incidents of theft, fraud, and other security-related concerns.
- Monitor and control access to sensitive areas of the store, such as the stockroom and cash office.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and employees to promote a safe and welcoming atmosphere.
- Train and educate other team members on security procedures and best practices.
- Keep accurate records of security incidents and provide reports as needed.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with security standards.
- Work with law enforcement and other agencies as needed to address security issues.
- Continuously monitor and assess security procedures and make recommendations for improvement.
Prior Experience In Security Or Loss Prevention: Candidates For An Asset Protection Associate Position At Jcpenney Should Have A Background In Security Or Loss Prevention, Preferably In A Retail Setting. This Will Ensure They Have A Solid Understanding Of Security Protocols And Procedures.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Effective Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Crucial For An Asset Protection Associate, As They Will Be Interacting With Customers, Store Associates, And Law Enforcement On A Regular Basis.
