Job Description

We are looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Asset Protection Associate to join our JCPenney team. In this role, you will be responsible for protecting the company’s assets from theft and other potential losses. To be successful in this position, you must have excellent observation skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to think quickly and act decisively in challenging situations. Our ideal candidate is a customer-focused team player with a passion for keeping our stores safe and secure.

Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor the store for any suspicious behavior or theft
  2. Respond quickly and decisively to potential security threats
  3. Document security incidents and provide statements as needed
  4. Develop and implement asset protection strategies to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  5. Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with customers and associates
  6. Train new employees on asset protection processes and procedures
  7. Utilize CCTV, alarm systems, and other security equipment to observe activity in the store
  8. Investigate and resolve shoplifting incidents
  9. Cooperate with law enforcement as needed
  10. Ensure that all employees follow safety regulations and adhere to company policies
