  1. Teach undergraduate courses in graphic design, including developing and implementing engaging curriculum.
  2. Actively engage with students to inspire and foster a dynamic and innovative learning environment.
  3. Conduct research and contribute to the growth and success of the department.
  4. Provide mentorship and support to students in their academic and professional development.
  5. Collaborate with other faculty members to continuously improve the graphic design program.
  6. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in the field of graphic design.
  7. Participate in departmental and university committees and service projects.
  8. Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies to effectively engage students with different learning styles.
  9. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their coursework and assignments.
  10. Maintain regular office hours and be available for student consultations and academic advising.
  11. Represent James Madison University and the graphic design department at professional conferences and events.
  12. Assist in the recruitment and retention of students for the graphic design program.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve teaching methods and materials to enhance student learning.
  14. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds.
  15. Uphold the academic standards and values of James Madison University.

Job Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree In Graphic Design Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Teaching Experience At The College Level.

  • Strong Portfolio Demonstrating Expertise In Various Areas Of Graphic Design, Such As Branding, Typography, And User Experience.

  • Proficiency In Industry-Standard Design Software, Such As Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Mentor And Guide Students In Their Creative Development.
