Fabricator Welder

The Welder/Fabricator III will fabricate metal components to assemble mechanical assemblies, pressure vessels using knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and engineering requirements. Interpretation of mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbology and adherence to welding codes. Knowledge of wire and filler materials applications for various steel alloys. Working knowledge of welding fixtures and weld set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.). Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools Maintain safe and clean workplace, keeping area free of contamination. Make appropriate time and data entry for all work completion on routing sheet and bar code system. Measure completed jobs to meet print specs by using appropriate tools. Weld parts to print and required standards. Ability to work independently and may help supervisor with training process of new employees
