  1. Provide expert legal advice and guidance on all matters related to ERISA law for the Securities Services business at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.
  2. Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support decision-making processes related to ERISA compliance and risk management.
  3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior management and business teams, to develop and implement strategies that align with ERISA regulations and company objectives.
  4. Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, policies, and procedures, to ensure compliance with ERISA laws and regulations.
  5. Stay updated on changes and developments in the ERISA landscape and communicate relevant information to the business to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  6. Represent the company in discussions and negotiations with external parties, such as regulators, clients, and industry associations, on matters pertaining to ERISA.
  7. Work closely with the Compliance and Risk teams to identify potential compliance issues and develop proactive solutions to mitigate risks.
  8. Provide training and support to internal teams on ERISA-related issues, including conducting workshops and creating training materials.
  9. Maintain accurate and organized records of all ERISA-related legal matters and ensure timely reporting to senior management.
  10. Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures related to ERISA compliance and provide recommendations for enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School

  • Admission To The Bar In The State Where The Position Is Located

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Erisa And Securities Law, Preferably At A Top Law Firm Or Financial Institution

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Erisa Regulations And Compliance Requirements For Retirement Plans

  • Strong Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Advise And Interact With Clients And Internal Stakeholders.
