Job Description

  1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive maintenance schedule for all J.Crew facilities, including retail stores, distribution centers, and corporate offices.
  2. Collaborate with various departments to prioritize maintenance tasks and ensure the timely completion of all scheduled work.
  3. Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to schedule repairs, maintenance, and installations.
  4. Monitor and track maintenance expenses to ensure budget compliance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  5. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential maintenance issues and address them proactively.
  6. Communicate with store managers and other team members to ensure minimal disruption to the shopping experience during maintenance activities.
  7. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and warranties.
  8. Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to extend the lifespan of equipment and reduce repair costs.
  9. Stay updated on industry best practices and make recommendations for improving maintenance processes and procedures.
  10. Train and supervise maintenance staff, ensuring that all work is completed to J.Crew's standards of quality and efficiency.
  11. Create and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials needed for maintenance work.
  12. Collaborate with the facilities management team to identify and address any safety or compliance issues related to maintenance activities.
  13. Keep management informed on the status of maintenance projects and any potential delays or issues that may arise.
  14. Assist with special projects, as needed, to support the overall growth and success of the J.Crew brand.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Maintenance Procedures: A Maintenance Planner/Scheduler At J.crew Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Maintenance Procedures And Best Practices In Order To Effectively Plan And Schedule Maintenance Activities For The Company's Facilities And Equipment.

  • Experience In Planning And Scheduling: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Maintenance Planning And Scheduling, Preferably In A Retail Or Manufacturing Environment. This Experience Should Include Creating Maintenance Schedules, Coordinating With Maintenance Teams, And Tracking And Reporting On Maintenance Activities.

  • Strong Organizational Skills: Maintenance Planning And Scheduling Requires Excellent Organizational Skills To Ensure That All Maintenance Tasks Are Prioritized And Completed In A Timely Manner. The Candidate Should Be Able To Manage Multiple Tasks And Projects Simultaneously And Have Strong Attention To Detail.

  • Familiarity With Cmms Software: J.crew Uses A Computerized Maintenance Management System (Cmms) To Track And Manage Maintenance Activities. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Using Cmms Software And Be Able To Effectively Utilize It To Plan And Schedule Maintenance Tasks.

  • Communication And Teamwork: A Maintenance Planner/Scheduler Must Have Strong Communication Skills To Effectively Coordinate With Maintenance Teams And Other Departments Within The Company. The Candidate Should Also Be Able To Work Well In A Team Environment And Collaborate With Other Members To Ensure Efficient And Effective Maintenance Planning And Scheduling.
