Job Description

J.Crew is seeking a dedicated and driven individual to join our team as a Loss Prevention Representative. In this role, you will play a crucial role in preventing and detecting theft, fraud, and other security issues within our stores. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to think quickly on their feet.   1. Monitor and patrol store premises to identify and prevent theft, fraud, and other security issues.
  2. Conduct thorough investigations of any suspicious activities or incidents, gathering evidence and working with management to resolve issues.
  3. Collaborate with store management and team members to implement safety and security protocols and procedures.
  4. Train and educate store employees on safety and security policies and procedures.
  5. Maintain accurate records and documentation of incidents and investigations.
  6. Utilize surveillance systems and other resources to identify and track potential security threats.
  7. Communicate effectively with store management, team members, and law enforcement regarding security concerns and incidents.
  8. Respond promptly and appropriately to any alarms or emergency situations.
  9. Assist in the development and implementation of loss prevention strategies.
  10. Stay informed on current industry trends and best practices in loss prevention.
  11. Conduct periodic audits and checks to ensure compliance with safety and security protocols.
  12. Proactively identify and report any potential safety hazards or security risks.
  13. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
  14. Remain vigilant and observant at all times to ensure the safety of customers and employees.
  15. Collaborate with other departments, such as human resources and finance, to investigate internal theft or fraud.
  16. Keep up-to-date on store policies, procedures, and products to better identify potential risks and threats.
  17. Provide excellent customer service while also enforcing safety and security measures.
  18. Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance knowledge and skills in loss prevention.
  19. Act as a role model for other team members by adhering to company values and standards.
  20. Contribute to a positive and safe work environment for all employees and customers.
