As we continue to grow and expand, we are seeking a Facilities & Maintenance Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and maintaining a safe and inviting environment for our employees and customers. We are looking for a talented and driven individual with a passion for maintenance and facility management. If you have a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of building systems and maintenance procedures, we would love to have you on our team!

  1. Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all facilities, including but not limited to retail stores, corporate offices, and distribution centers.
  2. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify any potential maintenance or safety issues.
  3. Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to ensure all facilities are in optimal condition.
  4. Coordinate and oversee repairs and maintenance projects, including managing external vendors and contractors.
  5. Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment needed for facility maintenance.
  6. Respond promptly to any emergency situations such as power outages, HVAC failures, or plumbing issues.
  7. Maintain a safe and clean working environment for employees and customers by following all safety procedures and regulations.
  8. Conduct regular safety checks and train employees on proper safety protocols.
  9. Ensure compliance with all building codes and regulations.
  10. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners such as landlords, contractors, and municipal agencies.
  11. Keep detailed records of all facility maintenance activities, expenses, and repairs.
  12. Collaborate with other departments to identify and address any facility-related issues that may impact business operations.
  13. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in facility management.
  14. Train and supervise junior maintenance staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  15. Continuously look for ways to improve and streamline facility maintenance processes and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Basic Education Is Necessary For Any Job, And A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is The Minimum Requirement For A Facilities & Maintenance Specialist At J.crew.

  • Previous Experience In Maintenance Or Related Field: Candidates Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Facilities Maintenance, Building Maintenance, Or A Related Field. This Will Ensure They Have The Necessary Skills And Knowledge To Perform The Job Effectively.

  • Knowledge Of Electrical, Plumbing, And Hvac Systems: Facilities & Maintenance Specialists At J.crew Are Expected To Have A Working Knowledge Of Various Systems, Including Electrical, Plumbing, And Hvac. This Will Enable Them To Troubleshoot And Perform Routine Maintenance As Needed.

  • Strong Communication And Problem-Solving Skills: As A Facilities & Maintenance Specialist, It Is Important To Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Team Members, Vendors, And Management. Additionally, The Ability To Quickly Identify And Solve Problems Is Crucial In This Role.

  • Attention To Detail And Ability To Multitask: Facilities & Maintenance Specialists Are Responsible For Maintaining And Repairing Multiple Areas Within A Store Or Facility. It Is Important For Candidates To Have Strong Attention To Detail And The Ability To Multitask In Order To Effectively Manage Their Workload.
