  1. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs to ensure the proper functioning of all building systems.
  2. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential issues and address them in a timely manner.
  3. Coordinate and oversee the work of external contractors and vendors for larger maintenance projects.
  4. Monitor and maintain inventory levels for essential supplies and equipment.
  5. Troubleshoot and resolve any facilities-related issues that may arise.
  6. Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to ensure the long-term functionality of facilities and equipment.
  7. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and equipment inspections.
  8. Respond to urgent maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely and efficient manner.
  9. Collaborate with other departments to ensure facilities and equipment are meeting their needs.
  10. Keep up-to-date with industry standards and best practices for facilities and maintenance.
  11. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in the maintenance process.
  12. Follow all safety protocols and regulations when performing maintenance tasks.
  13. Train and mentor other team members on proper maintenance procedures and techniques.
  14. Ensure that all facilities and equipment are in compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
  15. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including tools and equipment.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Building Maintenance And Repair: A Facilities & Maintenance Specialist At J.crew Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Basic Building Systems, Such As Hvac, Plumbing, And Electrical, As Well As General Repair And Maintenance Techniques.

  • Experience With Equipment Maintenance: This Position Will Require The Ability To Troubleshoot And Repair Various Equipment And Machinery Used In A Retail Setting, Such As Cash Registers, Store Fixtures, And Lighting Systems.

  • Attention To Detail: A Facilities & Maintenance Specialist Must Be Detail-Oriented To Ensure That All Facilities And Equipment Are Functioning Properly And Maintained To The Company's Standards.

  • Strong Communication Skills: This Role Will Require Working With Various Teams And Departments Within The Company, As Well As External Vendors And Contractors. Therefore, Strong Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, Are Essential.

  • Ability To Prioritize And Multitask: J.crew Is A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Company, And The Facilities & Maintenance Specialist Will Often Have Multiple Tasks And Projects To Manage Simultaneously. The Ideal Candidate Should Be Able To Prioritize And Manage Their Time Effectively To Ensure All Responsibilities Are Completed In A Timely Manner.
