- Develop and implement merchandise planning and inventory management strategies to drive sales and profitability for the company.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including buying, marketing, and finance to ensure alignment and execution of merchandise plans.
- Utilize data analysis and trend forecasting to make informed decisions on product assortment and inventory levels.
- Monitor and adjust plans based on market trends, customer demand, and business performance.
- Lead and mentor a team of merchandise planners, providing guidance and support to drive individual and team success.
- Communicate effectively with senior management and stakeholders on merchandise planning strategies and performance.
- Manage and optimize inventory levels to ensure product availability and minimize excess inventory.
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to negotiate favorable terms and pricing.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in merchandise planning processes and systems.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and competitors to inform merchandise planning strategies.
- Develop and manage merchandise budgets and forecast financial performance.
- Identify and implement opportunities to optimize merchandise assortment and pricing to drive sales and margin.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to merchandise planning and inventory management.
- Represent the company and its brand values in a positive and professional manner.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness of merchandise planning strategies to support the company's overall goals and objectives.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Interpret Data And Make Strategic Decisions.
Bachelor's Degree In Business, Finance, Merchandising, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 7-10 Years Experience In Merchandise Planning, Preferably In The Retail Industry.
Proven Track Record Of Driving Sales And Profitability Through Effective Merchandise Planning And Inventory Management Strategies.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate And Build Relationships With Cross-Functional Teams.
