As an Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the Store Manager to oversee daily operations and drive sales through effective leadership and teamwork.   1. Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of the store.
  2. Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop sales strategies and meet sales goals.
  3. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers with their needs.
  4. Train and coach sales associates on product knowledge, selling techniques, and customer service skills.
  5. Monitor and analyze sales performance data to identify areas of improvement and implement necessary changes.
  6. Ensure proper visual merchandising and product placement in accordance with company standards.
  7. Assist in managing inventory and stock levels to meet customer demand.
  8. Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the fitting rooms and sales floor.
  10. Prepare and conduct staff meetings to communicate updates, goals, and expectations.
  11. Support recruitment and hiring processes by identifying and interviewing potential candidates.
  12. Monitor and enforce company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and positive work environment.
  13. Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently.
  14. Assist in the preparation of sales and financial reports.
  15. Continuously stay updated on industry trends, fashion styles, and competitor strategies.
  16. Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude at all times, leading by example for the sales team.
  17. Work closely with the Store Manager to implement promotional events and marketing initiatives.
  18. Proactively seek out opportunities to improve store operations and customer satisfaction.
  19. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  20. Assist with any additional tasks or projects as assigned by the Store Manager.

Job Qualifications
  • Prior Retail Management Experience: A Strong Candidate For The Assistant Manager Role At J.crew Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successful Retail Management Experience, Preferably In A Similar Fashion Or Apparel Brand.

  • Excellent Leadership Skills: The Assistant Manager Will Be Responsible For Leading And Motivating A Team Of Sales Associates, So Strong Leadership Qualities, Including The Ability To Delegate Tasks And Provide Constructive Feedback, Are Essential.
