- Develop and design innovative solutions for catheters and endoscopes using your strong engineering background and knowledge of medical technology.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and understand user needs and translate them into product requirements.
- Conduct research and experiments to improve existing products and develop new ones.
- Create and maintain detailed product documentation, including design specifications, testing protocols, and risk assessments.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise and guidance to team members.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in medical technology to continuously improve product offerings.
- Work closely with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure product functionality, quality, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during product development and testing.
- Generate and analyze data to support design decisions and verify product performance.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to product development.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to provide technical support and assist with product demonstrations and presentations.
- Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and other events to showcase our cutting-edge technology.
- Mentor and train junior engineers to promote knowledge sharing and professional growth within the team.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following company safety procedures and regulations.

Advanced Degree In Engineering: A Staff R&D Engineer At Intuitive Surgical Must Have A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In A Relevant Engineering Field, Such As Biomedical Engineering Or Mechanical Engineering. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Technical Foundation To Understand And Develop Innovative Catheter And Endoscope Designs.
Experience In Medical Device Industry: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In The Medical Device Industry, With A Focus On Catheters And Endoscopes. This Experience Should Include A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Bringing New Products To Market And A Deep Understanding Of The Regulatory Requirements For Medical Devices.
Knowledge Of Catheter And Endoscope Design: The Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Catheter And Endoscope Design Principles, Including Materials, Manufacturing Processes, And Design For Manufacturability. This Knowledge Should Extend To Both Disposable And Reusable Devices, As Well As The Ability To Design For Complex Surgical Procedures.
Strong Problem-Solving Skills: As A Staff R&D Engineer, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Identifying And Solving Complex Technical Challenges In The Development Of New Products. They Must Have Strong Problem-Solving Skills, The Ability To Think Creatively, And A Track Record Of Developing Innovative Solutions.
