- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality components and materials
- Monitor and analyze supplier performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of suppliers' manufacturing processes and quality management systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and qualify new suppliers that meet the company's standards
- Lead negotiations and contract discussions with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms
- Provide technical expertise and support to suppliers to resolve quality and production issues
- Develop and implement supplier development programs to improve their capabilities and drive continuous improvement
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in supply chain management, and proactively implement best practices within the company
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including engineers, managers, and executives, to provide updates on supplier performance and escalate any issues or concerns
- Mentor and train junior supplier engineers to develop their skills and knowledge in supply chain management.
Bachelor's Degree In Mechanical Engineering Or A Related Field.
Minimum 5 Years Of Experience In Supplier Management Or Supplier Quality Engineering.
Strong Understanding Of Supplier Quality Management Processes And Techniques, Including Supplier Audits And Corrective Actions.
Experience In Medical Device Or Pharmaceutical Industry Highly Preferred.
Excellent Communication And Project Management Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Manage Multiple Projects Simultaneously.
