Job Description

At Intuitive Surgical, we are looking for a Quality Engineer with a passion for excellence and problem-solving. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest possible standards of product quality and safety, while driving continuous process improvement. You will need strong analytical skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter with a commitment to excellence and a dedication to customer satisfaction.Qualifications required for this role include a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field, at least 5 years of experience in a quality engineering role, and a solid understanding of regulatory requirements for medical devices. A proficiency in quality engineering tools such as Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, and Statistical Process Control is also required. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop quality control processes to ensure that all products meet established standards of quality and safety.
  2. Perform root cause analysis and develop corrective actions to improve product quality and safety.
  3. Manage and update quality documentation such as SOPs, test plans, and inspection plans.
  4. Monitor and analyze customer feedback to identify areas of improvement in product quality and safety.
  5. Conduct audits and inspections to ensure products meet regulatory requirements.
  6. Develop and implement process improvements to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  7. Train and mentor other team members on quality engineering processes and techniques.
  8. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction.
  9. Identify and communicate trends in quality data and provide recommendations for improvement.
  10. Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance.
