As a Senior Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our systems, and driving continuous improvements to our infrastructure.   1. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Intel's systems and infrastructure.
  2. Lead efforts to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of our systems.
  3. Identify and troubleshoot complex technical issues, and provide timely and effective resolutions.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvements to our systems and infrastructure.
  5. Develop and implement best practices for monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
  6. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including providing regular updates on system performance and reliability.
  7. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in site reliability engineering.
  8. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance and training as needed.
  9. Develop and maintain scripts and tools for automation and deployment.
  10. Participate in on-call rotations and respond to critical incidents in a timely manner.
  11. Conduct regular performance and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  12. Collaborate with vendors and external partners to identify and implement new technologies and solutions.
  13. Continuously analyze and optimize system performance, capacity, and cost.
  14. Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
  15. Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Systems Administration And Software Development: A Senior Engineer, Site Reliability At Intel Should Have A Strong Background In Both Systems Administration And Software Development. This Includes A Deep Understanding Of Operating Systems, Networking, And Database Management, As Well As Proficiency In Programming Languages Such As Java, Python, And C++.

  • Expertise In Cloud Computing And Virtualization Technologies: With Intel's Focus On Cloud Computing And Virtualization, A Senior Engineer, Site Reliability Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of These Technologies. This Includes Experience With Cloud Platforms Such As Aws, Azure, And Google Cloud, As Well As Virtualization Tools Like Vmware And Openstack.

  • Strong Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills: As A Senior Engineer, Site Reliability, One Must Be Able To Quickly Identify And Resolve Complex Technical Issues. This Requires Strong Troubleshooting Skills And The Ability To Think Critically And Creatively To Find Solutions.

  • Leadership And Project Management Experience: A Senior Engineer, Site Reliability Is Expected To Lead And Manage Projects Within The Team And Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams. Therefore, Strong Leadership And Project Management Skills Are Essential For This Role.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Abilities: A Senior Engineer, Site Reliability Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate Technical Concepts And Collaborate With Team Members And Stakeholders. This Includes The Ability To Present Ideas And Solutions, Provide Technical Guidance, And Work Well In A Team Environment.
