- Design, develop, and maintain reliable and scalable systems to support Intel's products and services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve performance and reliability issues.
- Develop and maintain tools and processes to monitor and improve system performance and availability.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential areas for improvement.
- Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in site reliability engineering.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on system performance and any potential issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
- Continuously evaluate and improve existing systems and processes to optimize performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to ensure new products and features are designed with reliability in mind.
- Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Monitor system metrics and proactively address any potential issues before they impact customers.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to system incidents as needed.
- Adhere to security and compliance standards to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data.
Extensive Experience In Software Development: A Senior Engineer At Intel Must Have A Strong Background In Software Development, Including Proficiency In Programming Languages Such As C++, Java, And Python. They Should Also Have Experience With Source Control Systems And Software Development Methodologies.
Expertise In Site Reliability Engineering: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Site Reliability Engineering Principles And Practices. This Includes Knowledge Of Infrastructure Automation, Monitoring, And Incident Response.
Strong Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills: A Senior Engineer Should Be Able To Quickly Identify And Resolve Complex Technical Issues, Using A Systematic Approach To Troubleshooting. They Should Also Have Experience In Root Cause Analysis And Implementing Effective Solutions.
Leadership And Project Management Skills: This Role Requires The Ability To Lead A Team And Manage Projects Effectively. A Senior Engineer Must Have Experience In Mentoring And Coaching Junior Team Members, As Well As Strong Project Management Skills To Ensure Timely Delivery Of Projects.
