- Develop and maintain cutting-edge Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools, design flows, and Process Design Kits (PDKs) for advanced semiconductor products.
- Conduct research and stay updated on the latest EDA tools and technologies to continuously improve our tool and flow development processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand design requirements and develop solutions that meet the needs of our products.
- Troubleshoot and debug any issues that arise in the development or implementation of EDA tools, flows, and PDKs.
- Implement best practices and standard methodologies to ensure high-quality and efficient tool and flow development.
- Proactively identify and address any potential roadblocks or challenges in the development process.
- Document and communicate tool and flow development processes, changes, and updates to relevant teams.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers in the team to foster their growth and development.
- Participate in project planning and provide technical expertise to ensure successful execution of tool and flow development projects.
- Collaborate with external partners and vendors to incorporate their tools and solutions into our EDA ecosystem.
- Stay updated on industry trends and developments in EDA tools and processes, and leverage this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our tools and flows.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, and maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity in all aspects of the job.
Proficiency In Eda Tools: Candidates Should Have Extensive Experience And Knowledge Of Electronic Design Automation (Eda) Tools, Such As Cadence, Synopsys, Or Mentor Graphics. They Should Be Able To Demonstrate Their Ability To Develop And Maintain Complex Design Flows Using These Tools.
Strong Understanding Of Semiconductor Processes: Senior Eda Tool Engineers At Intel Must Have A Deep Understanding Of Semiconductor Processes And Device Physics. This Includes Knowledge Of Pdk (Process Design Kit) Development, Process Technology Nodes, And Design Rules.
Experience With Scripting Languages: The Ability To Write And Debug Scripts In Languages Such As Tcl, Perl, Or Shell Is Essential For Automating Design Flows And Pdk Development. Candidates Should Be Able To Demonstrate Their Proficiency In These Languages And Their Ability To Solve Complex Problems Using Scripting.
Knowledge Of Design Methodologies: Intel Is Known For Its Rigorous Design Methodologies, And Candidates For This Role Should Be Familiar With Them. This Includes Understanding Of Design For Manufacturability (Dfm), Design For Testability (Dft), And Design For Reliability (Dfr) Principles.
Teamwork And Communication Skills: As A Senior Engineer, The Candidate Will Be Expected To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Design, Process, And Product Engineers. Excellent Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, Are Necessary To Effectively Convey Complex Ideas And Collaborate On Projects.
