
Risk and Insurance Manager - Construction

- Develop risk management plans: Create comprehensive risk management plans that outline strategies and protocols to prevent and manage potential risks.
- Manage insurance policies: Oversee the procurement and maintenance of insurance policies for construction projects, ensuring adequate coverage and compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure risk management strategies are effectively implemented and integrated into project plans.
- Monitor and report on risk management efforts: Regularly monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management plans and provide reports and recommendations to leadership.
- Handle insurance claims: Manage the process of filing and resolving insurance claims, including documenting losses, negotiating with insurance providers, and ensuring timely payments.
- Stay updated on industry trends: Continuously research and stay informed about industry trends and regulations related to risk management and insurance in the construction industry.
- Train and educate employees: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on risk management best practices, safety protocols, and insurance policies.
- Foster a culture of safety: Promote a culture of safety and risk awareness within the company by encouraging open communication and providing resources for employees to report potential risks.
Extensive Knowledge Of Construction Insurance: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Construction Insurance And Risk Management, Including Policies, Coverage, Claims, And Regulations. This Knowledge Is Essential In Developing And Implementing Effective Risk Management Strategies For Intel's Construction Projects.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: A Risk And Insurance Manager Must Be Able To Analyze Complex Data And Situations, Identify Potential Risks, And Develop Proactive Solutions. They Must Also Be Able To Think Critically And Make Sound Decisions In High-Pressure Situations.
Excellent Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Crucial In This Role, As The Risk And Insurance Manager Will Be Responsible For Communicating With Various Stakeholders, Including Contractors, Project Managers, And Insurance Providers. They Must Also Be Able To Present Complex Information In A Clear And Concise Manner.
Experience In Construction Risk Management: Previous Experience In Construction Risk Management Is Highly Desirable For This Role. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing Risks On Construction Projects, Preferably In A Large Corporation Or Construction Firm.
