  1. Lead the physical design process for complex System-on-Chip (SoC) designs, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define physical design specifications and requirements.
  3. Utilize industry-leading tools and methodologies to create and implement physical design solutions.
  4. Perform floor planning, power and clock distribution, place and route, timing closure, and physical verification.
  5. Proactively identify and troubleshoot design issues and provide solutions to meet project timelines.
  6. Mentor and guide junior physical design engineers in best practices and techniques.
  7. Stay updated with the latest advancements in physical design and incorporate them into project processes.
  8. Collaborate with design verification, architecture, and integration teams to ensure seamless integration of physical design with overall chip design.
  9. Contribute to the development and improvement of physical design methodologies and flows.
  10. Continuously monitor and improve physical design quality metrics to meet or exceed company standards.
  11. Participate in design reviews and provide technical insights and recommendations to improve design performance and efficiency.
  12. Communicate project status, issues, and risks to project stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
  13. Adhere to project timelines and schedules while adapting to changes in project priorities.
  14. Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive and collaborative work culture.
  15. Represent Intel as a leader in the field of SoC physical design through participation in industry conferences and events.

  • Advanced Knowledge Of Physical Design Methodologies: A Lead-Soc Physical Design Engineer At Intel Must Have A Deep Understanding Of Physical Design Methodologies, Including Floorplanning, Placement, Routing, Timing Closure, And Power Optimization. This Knowledge Is Crucial In Ensuring The Successful Implementation Of Complex Socs.

  • Expertise In Industry-Standard Eda Tools: The Candidate Must Have Extensive Experience Working With Industry-Standard Eda Tools Such As Cadence Innovus, Synopsys Icc, Mentor Graphics Calibre, Etc. These Tools Are Essential For The Physical Design Process And The Candidate Should Be Well-Versed In Their Usage.

  • Strong Background In Asic Design: A Lead-Soc Physical Design Engineer Should Have A Strong Background In Asic Design, Including A Thorough Understanding Of Rtl Coding, Synthesis, And Verification. This Knowledge Is Essential In Collaborating Effectively With The Design And Verification Teams.

  • Experience With Advanced Process Technologies: Intel Is A Leader In Developing Cutting-Edge Process Technologies, And A Lead-Soc Physical Design Engineer Must Have Experience Working With Advanced Process Nodes Such As 7Nm, 5Nm, And Beyond. This Experience Is Critical In Meeting The Performance, Power, And Area Targets For Intel's Socs.

  • Leadership And Project Management Skills: As A Lead Engineer, The Candidate Must Have Excellent Leadership And Project Management Skills. This Includes The Ability To Mentor And Guide Junior Engineers, Manage Project Timelines And Deliverables, And Effectively Communicate With Cross-Functional Teams.
