Job Description

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a Desktop Technician at Insight Enterprises! In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, deploying and maintaining desktop systems, and providing excellent customer service to our clients.   1. Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for clients in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Deploy and maintain desktop systems, ensuring they are up-to-date and functioning properly.
  3. Provide excellent customer service to clients, addressing their technical concerns and offering solutions.
  4. Collaborate with other IT professionals to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  5. Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancements to continuously improve skills.
  6. Document and track all technical support activities and resolutions in our system.
  7. Adhere to company policies and procedures for data security and confidentiality.
  8. Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, providing instructions and guidance on technical matters.
  9. Escalate issues to appropriate teams or individuals when necessary.
  10. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance technical knowledge and skills.

  • Technical Knowledge And Experience: A Desktop Technician At Insight Enterprises Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Computer Hardware, Operating Systems, And Software Applications. They Should Also Be Familiar With Troubleshooting And Resolving Technical Issues.

  • Time Management And Multitasking Abilities: In A Fast-Paced It Environment, Desktop Technicians Must Be Able To Manage Their Time Effectively And Handle Multiple Tasks Simultaneously. This Includes Prioritizing Tasks And Meeting Deadlines.

  • Certifications And Education: While A Degree In Computer Science Or Related Field Is Not Always Required, Having Relevant Certifications And Training Can Demonstrate A Strong Knowledge And Expertise In The Field. Some Common Certifications For A Desktop Technician Include Comptia A+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (Mcsa), And Apple Certified Mac Technician (Acmt).
