  1. Develop and execute the product strategy for IBM's API Connect and Gateways solution.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, sales, and marketing to ensure successful product delivery.
  3. Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs and market trends.
  4. Define product requirements and create product roadmaps.
  5. Work closely with development teams to ensure timely and high-quality product releases.
  6. Drive product innovation and identify new market opportunities.
  7. Develop pricing and packaging strategies for the product.
  8. Communicate product updates and releases to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  9. Analyze product performance and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.
  10. Serve as a subject matter expert on API management and provide guidance to internal teams and customers.
  11. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in API management.
  12. Mentor and manage a team of product managers and provide leadership and guidance for their career growth.
  13. Collaborate with sales teams to support product positioning and sales enablement activities.
  14. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.
  15. Represent IBM and the product at industry events and conferences.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Product Management: A Senior Product Manager For Api Connect And Gateways At Ibm Should Have At Least 5-7 Years Of Experience In Product Management, With A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Launching And Managing Api Products.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Api Technologies: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Api Technologies, Including Api Management, Api Gateways, And Api Design. They Should Also Be Familiar With Industry Standards Such As Rest, Soap, And Oauth.

  • Strong Business Acumen: A Senior Product Manager Should Have A Strong Business Acumen And Be Able To Develop And Execute Product Strategies That Align With The Company's Overall Goals And Objectives. They Should Also Possess The Ability To Identify Market Trends And Customer Needs To Guide Product Development.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Senior Level Role, The Product Manager Should Have Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Stakeholders. They Should Also Be Able To Articulate Product Vision And Priorities To Both Technical And Non-Technical Audiences.

  • Proven Experience In Driving Product Innovation: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Driving Product Innovation And Staying Ahead Of Industry Trends. They Should Also Be Able To Identify New Growth Opportunities For The Api Connect And Gateways Product Line And Develop Strategies To Capitalize On Them.
