  1. Design and conduct experiments to demonstrate the capabilities of quantum computing systems.
  2. Analyze experimental data and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
  3. Collaborate with other team members and experts in the field to develop novel experimental techniques.
  4. Communicate complex concepts and results to a diverse audience, including clients and partners.
  5. Stay updated with the latest advancements in quantum computing and incorporate them into experimental designs.
  6. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
  7. Work closely with software engineers to develop and implement experimental control and data analysis software.
  8. Provide technical expertise and support to other team members, including troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  9. Contribute to the development of new quantum computing applications and algorithms based on experimental results.
  10. Write and publish scientific papers and attend conferences to share research findings.
  11. Keep detailed records of experimental procedures, data, and results.
  12. Mentor and train junior team members and interns.
  13. Collaborate with product development teams to provide input on the design and testing of new quantum computing systems.
  14. Represent IBM at industry events and conferences to showcase our quantum computing capabilities.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Physics, Preferably With A Specialization In Quantum Mechanics Or Quantum Computing.

  • Extensive Experience In Experimental Design And Execution, Particularly In The Field Of Quantum Technology.

  • Proficiency In Programming Languages Such As Python And C++, As Well As Experience With Quantum Computing Software And Hardware Platforms.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Troubleshoot And Optimize Experimental Setups.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team Environment And Present Findings To Both Technical And Non-Technical Audiences.
