  1. Develop and implement testing strategies and procedures for IBM Z developer tools and resources.
  2. Perform functional, integration, and regression testing to ensure the quality and reliability of products.
  3. Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand project requirements and identify potential issues.
  4. Create and execute test cases and document results, defects, and recommendations.
  5. Continuously identify and report bugs and issues, and work with the development team to resolve them.
  6. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing.
  7. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on code quality and test coverage.
  8. Conduct performance and scalability testing to ensure optimal functionality of products.
  9. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful product releases.
  10. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates on testing progress and issues.
  11. Proactively suggest improvements to processes and procedures to enhance the overall quality of products.
  12. Collaborate with other QA team members to share knowledge and promote best practices.

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency In Ibm Z Mainframe Systems And Related Technologies: This Includes A Strong Understanding Of Z/Os Operating System, Cobol Programming Language, Jcl, Ims, And Db2 Databases.

  • Experience In Software Testing And Quality Assurance: A Qa/Test Engineer For Ibm Z Developer Experience Should Have A Solid Background In Software Testing Methodologies, Including Functional, Regression, And Integration Testing. They Should Also Have Experience In Creating And Executing Test Plans And Test Cases.

  • Strong Problem-Solving And Analytical Skills: Ibm Z Systems Are Complex And Require Critical Thinking To Identify And Troubleshoot Issues. A Qualified Candidate Should Possess Strong Problem-Solving And Analytical Skills To Effectively Debug And Resolve Issues.

  • Knowledge Of Agile Development Processes: Ibm Z Developer Experience Follows Agile Development Principles, So A Qa/Test Engineer Should Have A Good Understanding Of Agile Methodologies And Be Able To Work Collaboratively In An Agile Team Environment.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: As A Qa/Test Engineer, Clear Communication And Collaboration With Developers, Product Managers, And Other Team Members Are Essential For Successful Project Delivery. The Ability To Effectively Communicate Technical Information And Work Well In A Team Is A Crucial Qualification For This Role.
