  1. Design and implement highly available and scalable cloud-based applications using Red Hat Openshift.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify client needs and provide solutions using your expertise in Red Hat Openshift.
  3. Deploy and maintain cloud-based applications, ensuring their availability, performance, and security.
  4. Utilize advanced troubleshooting skills to resolve any technical issues related to Red Hat Openshift.
  5. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in cloud computing to continuously improve and enhance our solutions.
  6. Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  7. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  8. Conduct regular performance monitoring and optimization to ensure efficient use of resources.
  9. Adhere to best practices and standards in coding, testing, and documentation.
  10. Continuously evaluate and recommend ways to improve our cloud-based solutions.
  11. Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment and configuration processes.
  12. Participate in on-call rotation to provide support and resolve critical issues.
  13. Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders to provide updates and gather requirements.
  14. Take ownership of project deliverables and ensure timely completion.
  15. Contribute to the development of company-wide standards and processes related to Red Hat Openshift.

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency In Red Hat Openshift: The First And Most Important Qualification For A Platform Engineer At Ibm Is A Deep Understanding And Hands-On Experience With Red Hat Openshift. This Includes Knowledge Of Its Architecture, Deployment, And Management.

  • Experience With Containerization And Orchestration: Ibm Is A Leader In Containerization And Orchestration Technologies, And Therefore, A Platform Engineer Must Have Experience Working With Docker, Kubernetes, And Other Related Tools. This Includes The Ability To Design, Deploy, And Manage Containers And Clusters.

  • Knowledge Of Devops Practices: In Today's Fast-Paced Technology Environment, Devops Practices Are Crucial For Successful Software Delivery. A Platform Engineer At Ibm Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Devops Principles, Including Continuous Integration And Delivery, Automated Testing, And Infrastructure As Code.

  • Familiarity With Cloud Technologies: Ibm Is Heavily Invested In Cloud Technologies, And A Platform Engineer Must Have A Good Understanding Of Cloud Computing Concepts, Including Infrastructure As A Service (Iaas), Platform As A Service (Paas), And Software As A Service (Saas). Experience With Ibm Cloud Or Other Major Cloud Providers Is Also A Plus.

  • Strong Problem-Solving And Troubleshooting Skills: As A Platform Engineer, You Will Be Responsible For Diagnosing And Solving Complex Technical Issues. Therefore, Strong Problem-Solving And Troubleshooting Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role. This Includes The Ability To Identify Root Causes, Propose Solutions, And Implement Fixes In A Timely Manner.
